The Fistula
The Fistula is a type of electronica. The music is fragmented, cartoony, ugly and plastic. In between the music, Evil provides a lo-fi narrative which at times verges on automatic speaking. Recorded in Hove, in a bedsit, whilst hopelessly poor, depressed and hungry.
Not only is The Fistula a type of electronica, it is also a sym-phoney, as characterised by its four movements of material completely unsuitable for a symphony. By the time you've made it to the end you'll probably be feeling a bit sick. The medical dictionary definition of a fistula aside, the title promises gory abnormalities of a kind that only exist in ED's music.
